There's this litte spot where a bunch of wild flowers grow in our neighborhood and everytime I drive by there, I can just see my Ellie playing in the flowers so yesterday we took a little walk and did just that. Today she turns 18 months so I thought it would be great to do some portraits of her. Listen, I know she's mine and maybe I'm a smidge biased but I'm pretty sure she's the prettiest little thing ever! I can't believe she's already 18 months. She is such a sweet blessing to our family and we are so honored that God gave her to us. Love you baby girl...

Several months ago I got to do Ms. Lily's newborn session and recently I got to visit with her again and update a session with her and her 3 beautiful older sisters. I even convinced her momma to sneak in on a few. :) I love getting to update sessions with families and see how they've grown and changed. These girls are the perfect combination of sweet + sassy! Get ready to gush.....because this little doll is incredibly adorable! I was lucky enough to get to photograph little Lily + a few shots of her big brother Luke at her 9 month session last week and we had such a great time. Lily was so happy the whole time. I love 6 month old babies! They are just so much fun to photograph. Rolly Polly smiley, and if you're lucky, a little sitting up. I had the best time at this little guy's session. He had me rolling around all over the ground with him at his session to capture his sweetness. Thankfully, his momma and I spent a little time chatting and catching up afterwords and right as everyone was about to leave, the sun came out and we got some last minute shots with the yummiest, golden light. This afternoon I had a session canceled due to a crazy pop up thunderstorm. It came out of no where! Black clouds, high winds and rain. It didn't take us long to realize this was no environment for a 9 month old, so I went on home. Of course though, about 30 minutes after I got home we had the most gorgeous and beautiful light outside so I decided to take the kiddos outside and have a little family session of our own. I couldn't help but think of those who were affected yesterday in Oklahoma by those devastating storms. I felt overwhelmed with the fact that my family is safe and here with me tonight and we can sleep in our own house. We are praying for those who don't have this luxury tonight and praying that the God of all comfort will be their refuge in this time of need.

I really enjoying getting to know other young families that are in a similar stage of life that my own family is in. I recently got to meet the Rice family and their 3 sweet little girls. I love to photograph newborns and this little boy was especially special because I got to see and document his arrival into this world just last week. This past week I had the privilege to photograph the birth of a very sweet couple. I have a few photos of my both my own births and I treasure them, so I was so excited to get to photograph Chris and Ellen's big day. Ellen was a rockstar! She did so awesome and Chris was such a sweet and supportive husband during her labor. Baby Caleb is really blessed to have such wonderful parents. Congratulations Ellen and Chris! I hope you will treasure these photos as this is undoubtedly a day you will always remember. This is a HUGE post but keep going because there is a video at the end with the full birth story!
