I love fall for so many reasons and one of those is that I get to spend a lot of my time working with families. I've been so fortunate this year to visit again with past clients and I've been able to meet lots of new ones as well. I had such a great time meeting and working with this beautiful family this fall. They were so fun + comfortable to photograph on a gorgeous fall afternoon and I love how their session flowed so naturally. Thank you guys for being so wonderful to hang out with!

So, this is sort of an emotional post for me because it's my very best friend in the world and her family that are featured on the blog tonight. Emotional because here in just a few short weeks, they are moving to Japan for a year. I am so incredibly excited for them but also so terribly sad to see them go. She is my bestie, my Jonathan. I seriously feel so incredibly blessed to have been given this gift of friendship with her for the past almost 20 years (goo!). Even our kiddos are best buds. January is going to be a tearful month for me for sure. So, on to the pictures...If you know this family, you love them. I was so excited to do some fun family portraits for them downtown before they leave. I'm gonna miss you guys like crazy, Shields fam! Love ya'll!
I had a great time catching up with this family again this fall for their family photos. We did their session last year in the same location and it was so fun to see how this little one has grown and how just a couple of months makes such a big difference in a location! I am so excited to share with you tonight, this beautiful maternity session. I met this sweet family recently and am so excited to get to photograph them during this time in their lives. Looking forward to setting them again in June when they welcome their little one into the world.

Recently I got to catch back up with one of my birth families for a family shoot. I seriously love this family. They are just so sweet to be around. Their kiddos are wonderful and they are just such a comfortable family to be with. I said this same thing when I shot their birth but it felt just like spending time with friends. It’s easy to see how much they love each other in the pictures and it was so fun to see how much baby S has grown! Great to see you again Williams family!

I am loving meeting and photographing all these sweet new expecting families this Spring! I recently got to meet this couple expecting their first child here in just a few weeks. They are SO excited and I can’t wait to meet back up with them after his arrival and photograph them again! Congrats Casey family!

Last week I got to photograph this beautiful family for some 2 year portraits for big sister as well as some family and maternity shots of mama. Big sis was such a doll! This was my first session that felt like Spring is just around the corner. FINALLY!!! I can’t wait to see this family again in a few weeks when they welcome in their second little one. It’s been a few months since I’ve been able to photograph a gorgeous expecting mama so I was so excited for this recent session! I have lots of new mamas coming up this spring and I am really looking forward to it. I love it when women want to document their pregnancy through photography. Yes, I know it’s almost February! Ha! But I didn’t want to post these before Christmas since I knew most of my clients would be using these for Christmas cards and gifts for family and I didn’t want to ruin any surprises. Get ready to gush because this little guy is adorable. I got to meet this sweet family last week to document their little guy turning 6 months. We had a great time at Buttermilk Farms Christmas Tree farm. Little Weston was such a happy guy and it was so sweet to see mom and dad loving on him. I just love spending the afternoon with families! Earlier this week, I got to meet and photograph this gorgeous family. We had the perfect crisp, clear fall evening. You would not believe how sweet this big brother was with his little brother. They had me melting our whole session. I am serious, those snuggles and kisses were all them. This is a huge share because I just couldn’t choose favorites! I just love it when I meet and photograph a new family and everything falls just perfectly into place. That happened with this beautiful family. We had a gorgeous fall evening, amazing light and a wonderful family that loves each other so much. Not to mention 3 out of 4 were red heads which I LOVE. I have secretly always wanted to be a red head. ;) It was so effortless to get beautiful images of this family because it is easy to see the way that they feel about one another. I had such a great time this weekend with this gorgeous + sweet couple at our maternity session. This mama was awesome to work with. #1 she's beautiful #2 she was very adventurous!
