This family. Oh my goodness. I just love getting to photograph them. Their newborn session is still my absolute favorite. You can see that here. So, I was so excited to photograph them for their one year pictures. I love shooting clients at home. It is just so relaxed and comfortable and I always feel like it shows in their images. This family's session was easily one of my favorite sessions from this fall. They were so much fun and loving towards one another. Mom and Dad were celebrating 10 years of marriage and wanted to do some photos since it has been a really long time since they've had any done. Well, I am just so glad they chose me to photograph them because I had the best time hanging out with this gorgeous family. Enjoy these sweet photos!
Oh my goodness how I love this family. They are so special to me because they were my very first clients. I know I say that every time I photograph them but it is so special to me because they were the first people to trust me with their family memories and that is so special to me. I love photographing them more and more each time because they are just so easy. I mean, really. They are crazy about each other and it shows. And that makes me a very, very happy photographer. I love getting to photograph seniors. I had such a great time meeting up with Jake and wondering around Old City for his Senior pictures. I'm so excited to meet the rest of his family for family photos later this week! Enjoy!
Fall is my favorite and busiest time of year and one of the reason I love it so much is because I get to meet so many new and wonderful families. This family is the perfect example. They were so sweet and easy to photograph. Their love for their sweet baby girl is all over their faces. I loved hearing mom at our session keep saying to her daughter "I could just eat you up with a spoon!" I totally know the feeling and I love seeing that love come through in photographs. Our session was a little different because shortly in the sky grew very dark and scary and we ended up running for the cars! We met back up the very next night to finish our session but I love how we got this beautiful dramatic light the first night and a gorgeous sun filled session the very next night. I get asked all the time what is my favorite thing to photograph and besides my own family, it would have to be families. I have truly fallen in love with family photography. Maybe it's because I'm a mother with a young family and I know how good, wonderful, crazy and hard these days are. And how I want to remember how special they were with all my heart. Every time I'm with a family I feel like there is so much there for me to capture. So much connection, so many emotions, especially with little ones. ha! And I'm so thankful that I'm at a place where I am attracting the clients that get what I do and want me to do what I do, which is to put all those wonderful elements into photographs, even if that doesn't mean everyone looking at the camera with perfect smiles. So, for that I thank you.
Now to this wonderful family. I've been able to photograph this sweet family several times and I've also been privileged to shoot births with Alissa because she is a doula with Open Heart Doula, which is really an incredible group of women who have some of the most beautiful servants hearts and have such a passion and love for mothers. I'm going to start this post off by saying that I am not a wedding photographer. Ha! Wedding photographers are incredibly talented at what they do and I am a family photographer through and through. But I do occasionally make a rare exception like when one of my past clients whom I've photographed since the beginning of their time as family tells me they are getting married. I was beyond excited to get to capture Matt and Danielle's wedding day and see their family united through the bond of marriage. Congratulations Fay Family! I love photographing families over the course of a babies first year. It is so much fun to get to see how they've changed and grown. I had the best time catching up with these guys last week and celebrating their baby girl's first year. They always have me cracking up! Happy Birthday sweet girl!

I am so excited to announce this year's 3rd annual Christmas Tree Farm mini sessions. These sessions are so much fun and are the perfect way to get the holiday season kicked off. I announced these sessions yesterday to my newsletter subscribers and the first date (October 25th) sold out in 30 minutes. I am so overwhelmed and grateful. I really can't thank you all enough. So, I decided to do a second date but this will be it. 4 sessions are left for this second date so be sure to let me know as soon as possible if you want to snag one. This year, our sessions will be held at Bluebird Christmas Tree Farm in Heiskell. It is a gorgeous farm and I am so excited to do our sessions there this year. I'm looking forward to working with new and returning families this year!

I have a handful of clients that have been with me since the beginning and I've had the pleasure of photographing their family as it grows and this beautiful family is one of them. I first photographed them when Lauren was pregnant with big sis and all throughout her first year here, here and here. So, I was so excited when they contacted me for maternity photos for sweet baby girl number two and now their in home newborn session. They are so much fun and completely relaxing to hang out with. I recently got to photograph this gorgeous couple and it was so much fun. I'm not even joking, they could give lessons on the perfect couple posing because it honestly came so natural to them to just love on each other. It was awesome! They are celebrating their 3rd year of marriage (yay!) and it was so fun chatting with them about this season of life they are in. I have truly loved every season in my marriage, but it is so fun thinking back on those earlier days were we were free to travel whenever we wanted, take off on an adventure at the last minute and just spend as much alone time together as we wanted. It was definitely a time I look back on with so much fondness and being with these two made me so excited for them and the adventures that await them. I am so happy we did these photographs to capture this sweet season in your marriage. Enjoy!
A couple of weeks ago, I got to photograph this beautiful family in the mountains. If you know this family, you love them. They are completely adorable, have huge hearts for the Lord and will keep you cracking up the whole time you are with them. I was so excited that we got to do this styled session with them. This past spring, I was chatting with my super-stylish friend Nicole about how I would love to have styling for my clients. She has the best eye for fashion and always looks fabulous. My clients are always asking about styling and what to wear and although I do my very best to help them, I knew that having someone dedicated to them and their style needs would add an incredible element to their session, as well as make their experience with me even more fun and relaxed. So I asked Nicole if she would be interested in styling my clients, and from there Nicole Wise Styling was born. We wanted to kick off her services by doing a giveaway which we held this past Spring to also celebrate 2 years in business for me.
This sweet family was the recipient of our styled session and they were incredible to work with. It was so much fun throughout the whole process. We wanted this session to be really special and after seeing Nicole's style boards for their session, I knew I wanted to take them to the mountains. Having Nicole style them really helped me with my vision for their session and it took lots of stress off of Amanda from having to put together outfits and accessories for her family. Last week I took my 3 babes out to this gorgeous little pumpkin patch for a few shots for my limited edition pumpkin patch mini sessions. I recently got to photograph one of my sweet friends and fellow photographer Lisa and her family, as well as her sister and her gorgeous family. They are such a fun + hilarious bunch.
