I love getting to know + follow family’s and watch their children grow. I first met baby Ellie when she was just a few days old at her newborn session. You can see that here. Now she’s a smiley + chubby + adorable 4 month old! I look forward to seeing her grow even more this year. Enjoy these sweet photos!

I’m so excited to share a very special newborn session with you today! This is my best friend and her family. They just welcomed this sweet little girl into their home a couple of weeks ago and I was the lucky one to get to photograph their new family. She is just so precious. You can also see their hospital session here. Congrats you guys! We love you!
Yes, I know it’s almost February! Ha! But I didn’t want to post these before Christmas since I knew most of my clients would be using these for Christmas cards and gifts for family and I didn’t want to ruin any surprises. This was my first time doing a mini session event and I loved it. That being said, be on the lookout for a Spring mini session event that will be announced very soon! It’s gonna be good! Sooooooo, without further ado here are my 2013 Christmas Tree farm mini sessions. Enjoy!
Almost 2 weeks ago, my best friend gave birth to their 3rd precious baby. I was supposed to photograph her birth but things got a little crazy when she had a whirlwind 45 minute labor and ended up delivering at home in their living room(whoops!). Thankfully everyone was perfectly fine and Thomas will forever be an all star Daddy for delivering his daughter! Since they delivered at home without assistance, they ended up going to the hospital to make sure everyone was ok. I am so happy I got to be there to photograph their kids meeting baby Scarlet for the first time. Such sweet moments! I just love you guys and am so thankful for your friendship. I am excited to see the Godly men and women you are raising. Enjoy these sweet memories.
I just started taking an indoor natural lighting workshop this week and this was one of my first assignments, to work with hard light. This was a new challenge for me because I don’t typically shoot in hard light but I love learning new techniques and I loved how this turned out. It’s a pretty moody image because of the dramatic lighting but that’s pretty much what her mood was! Ha! I had just woken her up from her nap and she wasn’t quite ready for the camera in her face yet. :) I’m looking forward to learning and sharing more from my workshop!
Here’s a little sneak peek from my very best friend’s newborn session this morning. Ms. Scarlet is baby number three for this sweet family and she is an absolute doll! Can’t wait to share more!
I always thought I would be the mother of only boys. But let me tell you, I could not imagine my life without this sugary sweet little girly girl. She brings so much joy to the life of our family. In fact, when I think of her, I think of the word joy. She’s bubbly, silly and she talks NONSTOP. And man, do we love her. Children are such a blessing from the Lord and we are so blessed to have sweet Ellie in our family.
It was truly an honor to be at your homecoming on Sunday and see you three together as a family. We pray for blessings on you as you enter into the joy of parenthood. Love ya’ll!
A couple of weeks ago, I got to photograph this beautiful senior. This was my first time getting to work with a senior girl and it was a blast. She was so fun to work with and obviously very photogenic! Lindsay, I pray for all of God’s blessings and direction for you in this exciting time in your life! Enjoy your images!
I LOVE a Christmas baby! I have one myself and a baby at Christmas time is just such a sweet thing. I remember when I had my Ellie two Decembers ago, it made this time of year so much more special as we celebrated the birth of our baby girl and the birth of our Saviour, Jesus. Last week, I had a great time getting to know and photograph this beautiful family. I felt so comfortable and right at home with them. Caroline is a very blessed little girl to have such a sweet and loving mommy and daddy and extended family. Congratulations Hunt family! I pray this Christmas season will be an especially blessed time for you as you celebrate your precious addition to your family!
Earlier this month, I got to photograph one of my favorite things, a birth! And it was so beautiful. When I first met the Williams family at our prenatal appointment, I knew we were going to hit it off. We had so much in common and spending the day with them photographing the birth of their son felt like spending the day with friends celebrating one of the most memorable days of their lives. Little Samuel was delivered by his Daddy, straight into his Momma’s arms just they way they had hoped for. After his delivery, he was so quiet and content. I remember at my prenatal meeting with Ashley and Brian they said that they wanted me there so that they could be completely caught up in the moment during the birth of their son and not have to worry about not having those memories captured forever. I think we definitely accomplished that and I hope you enjoy these precious memories of your special day for a lifetime.

Isn’t 4 just such a fun age? Las week I got to meet and photograph Isabella and her family for her four year portraits. She was a fun, spunky, sassy little thing! Full of personality and WOW such a beautiful child! Enjoy these sweet photos of Isabella! Merry Christmas!
I love getting to follow families as they grow and this is the 4th time this year I’ve been able to photograph this family and this sweet growing little girl. She is a doll! Love you guys! Enjoy these sweet photos of Ms Audrey at 6 months!
Last week I got to meet this very sweet family. These boys were just so adorable. And they were troopers! It was freezing out the day of our session. This family owns and operates The Back Porch Mercantlie, which specialized in Annie Sloan Chalk paint and lots of other great items. You should check them out and support a local family owned business. Enjoy your photos Parkhurst family! I had a great time with you guys!
I love this family. They are really great friends of our family and they are some of the most wonderful (and hilarious) people you will ever know. Lisa is also a super talented photographer as well so this session was so fun because I know myself how hard it can be to get on the other side of the lens. I hope you love your images Sykes family! I had a great time with ya’ll as always!
Get ready to gush because this little guy is adorable. I got to meet this sweet family last week to document their little guy turning 6 months. We had a great time at Buttermilk Farms Christmas Tree farm. Little Weston was such a happy guy and it was so sweet to see mom and dad loving on him. I just love spending the afternoon with families! Enjoy these sweet images!
I was so excited to get to photograph Zane’s senior pictures last week. I used to work with Zane’s dad in the ER and he is such a great guy so I loved getting to meet his family on this beautiful afternoon. Zane was a lot of fun to work with too. Congrats on your Senior year, Zane! Enjoy your photos!
