3 weeks ago tonight I got to meet back up with one of my sweet little newborn clients and her family to do her 6 month portraits. It was the most beautiful evening. It was in the 80's during our session and it felt like a little bit of summer was still lingering in the air. Tonight I'm bundled up by the fire as I write this blog post since it's 30 outside and a chance of snow tonight. These gorgeous warm summery evenings are drawing to a close for the year and I am just sitting here so thankful for getting to be a part of these sweet little memories we got to photograph of this little one and her mama. Like her chubby little hands, giggles with mama and of course sucking those fingers. Can't wait to see this family again in a few months when it's warm again! Until then, enjoy these sweet images!

This family is so special to ours. I seriously can't say enough about how much we love them. Christa is such an incredible mother and I am privileged to call her one of my very best friends. I mean really, I have called her mid-temper-tantrum to ask for parenting advice. She's such a godly example to me all the time. I've been able to see their family grow in God's grace over the past few years and I was so honored to photograph their family recently after the birth of their sixth child. This might be one of my favorite newborn sessions ever. Our session just flowed so naturally. Kids were playing and eating lunch and being themselves. Heck, my baby was sleeping in a crib in the toddler's room! It is easy to see how much this family loves one another. Congrats Schoolfield family! I love you guys!
I love to photograph newborns. Love it! I love getting to chat with new moms and dads. I love the excitement in their voices as they talk about their new journey into parenthood. Love seeing the way they look at their new little one. Love seeing their new perfect little nursery with all the time and love that went into every detail. This newborn session was no exception. I had the best time getting to know this new little family. I noticed one thing while editing this family's photos...they were smiling so much! You can just see in every photograph that their hearts are bursting with love for this new precious life. Congrats Neal family! Seriously, this guy is one of the happiest babies I've ever met. All throughout his session he was giving me these big, wide open mouthed, gummy smiles. I love this stage. And I love seeing new parents with their babies at this age. You're starting to come out of the newborn sleepless fog and you are being constantly rewarded with smiles and giggles. It makes all those sleepless nights worth it. Happy 4 months little guy! Can't wait to see you grow throughout this year!

I had a great time catching up with this family again this fall for their family photos. We did their session last year in the same location and it was so fun to see how this little one has grown and how just a couple of months makes such a big difference in a location! I recently got to meet up with this sweet family once again to photograph Ms. Harper for her one year pics. It has been so fun getting to watch this beautiful girl grow over this past year. I've been able to photograph her in her mama's tummy, as a newborn, 6 months and now 1 year! Happy Birthday Harper! It has been so fun seeing you and documenting your first year!
Happy 1st Birthday to this sweet little one! It has been such a joy to follow this family this past year over the course of their second baby's 1st year, Ms. Ellie. She is such a sweet + happy little miss. I have been able to photograph her as a newborn, at 4 months, 8 months and now on her 1st birthday! Happy Birthday Ellie!

I'm so excited to share this senior session with you guys today! I love it when clients have a clear vision for the outcome of their session and Brad did. He wanted a classic, vintage vibe and I love how his images turned out! Brad, Mr. Brad as he's known in our house, is also such a great guy. He and his family are so special at our house. I've been able to serve along side him on our worship team at our church and this summer he taught my kiddos to swim. :) Brad, we are so excited for you to embark on your senior year in high school and see where God directs your path over these next years. This tiny little bundle felt so small to me after I've been holding my 9lbs 7oz humongo baby for the past couple of months! This family is so special to me because they represent so many firsts for me. First time I photographed a birth, then they were my first official newborn clients. I've been able to photograph them since then as well so of course I was so excited to get to photograph their new baby girl. Photographing them is pretty much just like hanging out with friends.
